Description
Wide Flat Shoelaces – Light Beige, 75 cm (Barth)
Give your favourite shoes a fresh new look with these wide flat shoelaces in light beige, made by Barth. At 75 cm they are cut to fit roughly 5 to 6 pairs of eyelets, and because they come as a pair you have everything you need to relace both shoes in one go. I have been recommending Barth laces to my customers for years – they are the ones I reach for the moment a tired old lace lets me down.
The soft light beige shade is wonderfully versatile. It sits beautifully against tan and brown leather, warms up a pair of canvas trainers, and gives smart brogues a natural, understated finish. If you want to breathe new life into a well-loved pair without spending a fortune, a fresh set of laces is the easiest place to start.
Why choose these Barth wide flat shoelaces?
- Made in Germany, built to last: Barth has been weaving laces in Bavaria for four generations, and it shows. These are strong, hard-wearing and keep their colour wash after wash.
- Wide, flat weave: the broad, flat profile grips itself far better than a thin round lace, so your knot stays tied and your shoes stay snug all day long.
- Warm light beige tone: a natural, easy-to-match shade that flatters leather, suede and canvas alike – perfect for refreshing a pair or changing up the look entirely.
- Supplied as a pair: two laces in every pack, so both shoes are sorted with a single order.
- 75 cm length: roughly 5 to 6 pairs of eyelets – ideal for low trainers, derbies and smart lace-ups.
How to lace them up
- Remove your old laces and give the eyelets a quick wipe.
- Feed one lace evenly through the bottom pair of eyelets so both ends sit at the same length.
- Cross the ends over and thread up through each pair of eyelets to the top.
- Even out the tension, then tie as usual. Repeat with the second lace on your other shoe.

A little about Barth
Barth developed its laces in Bavaria, Germany, and the family has been making them for four generations. Over that time they have refined the weave to be tougher and longer-lasting, producing laces not only for smart and formal shoes but for walking boots and trainers too. That heritage is exactly why I trust them on my customers’ shoes – and on my own.
Styling tip from Haico
If your shoes are looking a little tired, please do not rush to replace them – a crisp new set of laces can make a surprising difference. I like to pair a light beige lace with tan or brown leather for a smart, put-together finish, but there is nothing stopping you going a shade bolder for a bit of contrast. Whichever way you go, you are giving a favourite pair a well-earned second wind for the price of a coffee or two.
Frequently asked questions
How many eyelets does the 75 cm length suit?
The 75 cm length comfortably laces shoes with around 5 to 6 pairs of eyelets, such as low trainers, derbies and smart lace-ups.
Are these laces really flat and wide?
Yes – they have a broad, flat weave around 10 mm across, which is why they hold a knot so well and sit flat and neat against the shoe.
Will the light beige colour fade?
Barth laces are known for holding their colour. The light beige shade stays looking fresh, even with regular everyday wear.
