Description
TRG Easy Dye – 104 Biscuit – 25ml – a soft, warm biscuit beige for a natural tan finish.
TRG Easy Dye 104 Biscuit is a soft, warm beige – the colour of a good shortbread – ideal for refreshing tan and natural-leather shoes, bags and boots that have faded or scuffed. It brings warmth back to washed-out leather and evens out patchy tan uppers.
TRG Easy Dye is a personal favourite of mine here at Shoespecialist. It’s a proper pigmented shoe dye that recolours and revives smooth leather, canvas and synthetic (man-made) uppers, so it’s brilliant for tired trainers, pumps, boots, bags and belts. I’ve lost count of the number of pairs I’ve saved from the bin with a bottle of this, and once you’ve done it once you’ll wonder why you ever put up with scuffed, faded shoes.
One honest note, because I’d rather you get a great result: dye can only ever deepen or refresh a colour – it never lightens. So this shade is at its best on pale, natural or already-tan leather, canvas and synthetic uppers.
Why choose Biscuit shoe dye?
- A warm, milky biscuit beige. Biscuit gives you a warm, milky biscuit beige that recolours evenly and covers scuffs, scrapes and faded patches in the process.
- Covers scuffs and edge wear. As well as changing or refreshing colour, it hides the worn strips along toes and heels where the finish has rubbed away, so your shoes look cared-for again.
- Flexible finish that won’t crack. It dries to a supple film that bends and flexes with the leather, so it stays put through everyday wear rather than flaking off.
- No separate finisher needed. The colour and the finish are in one bottle – no extra sealer, no fuss. Most pairs are done in about 30 minutes plus drying time.
- Works on more than shoes. The same bottle happily tackles matching bags, belts, purses and small leather goods, so you can pull a whole look together.
- Handy 25ml bottle. Enough to recolour a pair of shoes or refresh a bag, with a sponge applicator built into the lid for neat, even coverage.
How to use Biscuit shoe dye
- Clean first. Wipe the shoes down and remove any old polish or wax so the dye can grip. Let them dry fully.
- Protect the edges. Mask off soles and any parts you don’t want coloured with a little tape.
- Apply thin coats. Using the built-in sponge, work the dye on in thin, even strokes. Thin coats always beat one thick one.
- Let each coat dry. Allow it to dry, then add a second (and, if needed, a third) coat until the colour is rich and even.
- Leave to cure. Let the shoes rest and dry fully before wearing. That’s it – no separate finisher required.

Frequently asked questions
Is Biscuit a good match for tan and natural leather?
It is – Biscuit is a warm, milky beige that sits beautifully on tan, camel and natural uppers. It’s ideal for lifting a pair that has gone dull or blotchy back to an even, healthy-looking tan.
Will Biscuit dye work over darker shoes?
Being a light shade, Biscuit deepens and refreshes colour but can’t lighten leather that is already darker than it. Over pale, natural or already-tan leather it’s perfect; over dark brown or black it won’t show as intended, so keep it for lighter uppers.
Can I use it on suede or nubuck?
No – TRG Easy Dye is made for smooth leather, canvas and synthetic uppers, not suede or nubuck. Those brushed materials need a dedicated suede colour instead. If you’re not sure what your shoes are made of, drop me a message and I’ll happily help you choose the right product.
