How to use the Slitesterk Midsole Paint Marker White

1. Clean the shoes thoroughly first. Brush off the dirt, then wipe the midsole with a leather cleaner or a degreasing wipe so the paint has a clean surface to grip.
2. Let the shoes dry completely. Paint applied to damp foam will lift later.
3. Mask the edge of the upper with low-tack tape if you want a razor-sharp line between the midsole and the leather.
4. Shake the pen well, then press the tip down on a piece of scrap card a few times to let the paint flow through before you touch the shoe.
5. Apply in thin, even passes and let each coat dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Two thin coats always look better than one thick one. Remove the tape once it is fully dry.

Frequently asked questions

Will it stay white or go yellow again?

The paint itself is stable and will not yellow the way aged EVA foam does. If your midsole yellows again it is the foam underneath, not the marker – a quick extra pass restores it.

Does it crack when the sole flexes?

Applied in thin coats on a clean, dry surface it flexes with the foam. Thick single coats are what crack, which is why two light passes are worth the extra wait.

Can I use it on the leather upper as well?

Yes. It bonds to leather, suede and textile, so it is useful for touching up a scuffed white panel or repainting a logo. Test on a hidden area first if the leather is unusual.

How do I get a really straight line along the midsole?

Tape the upper, rest your hand on the table for stability, and pull the pen towards you in one continuous movement rather than dabbing. Let it dry before you peel the tape.
