You can buy them separately but it’s better value as a brush set, and I’m happy with how complete the set is. The horsehair brushes work really nicely. The smaller brushes too, but I need to use those more often because for now I’ve just applied my shoe polish with a cloth and buffed it off with the larger horsehair brush! PS. It’s also nice to first apply a bit of lotion, wax or shoe polish or similar with a cloth and then work it in further with the smaller brushes. Less dirty hands. Nice size too. The little nubuck brush is ideal as well and of course the dirt brush is perfect for cleaning soles.
