3. Shake the can thoroughly – a good twenty seconds, so the pigment is properly dispersed.
4. Hold the can about 20cm from the surface and spray in even sweeps. Aim for a light, uniform mist; two thin passes beat one wet one, and saturating the leather causes patchiness.
5. Leave it to dry for around ten minutes in a well-ventilated room, away from direct heat.
6. Brush the nap once more to restore the texture and finish. If the colour is still uneven, repeat with a second light coat.
