Description

Saphir Juvacuir Recolouring Cream Polish Beige 75ml – restore scratched and faded smooth leather in beige

If a smooth leather shoe, bag or jacket has picked up scuffs, scratches or faded patches, Saphir Juvacuir Recolouring Cream Polish Beige 75ml is the product I reach for. It is a rich, opaque recolouring cream that puts the beige colour back exactly where everyday wear has taken it away, and it does so with a natural, professional-looking finish.

Juvacuir is enriched with beeswax and carries a high load of fine pigments, so it does far more than an ordinary shoe cream. It covers deeper marks, blends worn corners and edges, and leaves a smooth, even surface. Best of all, once it has set it will not rub off on your clothes or wash off in the rain, so the repair lasts.

Because it is so versatile, one small bottle looks after a great deal: shoes, boots, handbags, wallets, belts, jackets and even leather furniture and car seats. It is made for all types of smooth, full-grain leather, which is exactly the kind of leather that shows scuffs and fading most.

This is one of Saphir’s professional-grade favourites, made by a French house that has specialised in leather care since 1920. It is genuinely satisfying to use, and because a little goes a long way, I always tell customers to take their time and build the colour up gently for the most convincing result.

Why choose Saphir Juvacuir Recolouring Cream?

  • Covers scuffs, scratches and worn edges on smooth leather with ease
  • Restores faded, dull beige leather to a rich, deep and even shade
  • Opaque, high-pigment formula gives excellent coverage in thin coats
  • Enriched with natural beeswax to nourish and condition as it recolours
  • Works on shoes, boots, bags, jackets, belts, wallets and furniture
  • Long-lasting finish that will not rub off on clothing or wash off

How to use Saphir Juvacuir Recolouring Cream

  1. Clean the leather first with a suitable cleaner and let it dry completely so the cream bonds properly.
  2. Shake the bottle well so the pigments and beeswax are evenly mixed.
  3. Put a small amount on a slightly damp soft cloth and work it in with gentle circular motions over the area you want to recolour, keeping the layer thin.
  4. Leave it to dry for around 15 minutes so the colour sets into the surface.
  5. Buff with a clean, dry cloth to bring up an even finish, and add a second thin coat for deeper, more complete coverage where needed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Juvacuir and normal shoe cream?

A standard shoe cream mainly conditions the leather and adds a light tint for shine. Juvacuir is far more opaque and pigment-rich, so it actually recolours the surface and covers scratches and faded patches rather than simply nourishing. Think of it as a repair-and-restore product rather than a routine polish.

Will it cover deep scratches?

It covers most scuffs and surface scratches very well in one or two coats. For deeper gouges, build up two or three thin coats, letting each one dry for around 15 minutes before applying the next, and the mark will gradually blend into the surrounding leather.

Can I use it on bags and furniture as well as shoes?

Yes. Juvacuir works on all smooth, full-grain leather, so it is ideal for handbags, jackets, belts, wallets and leather furniture as well as footwear. Always test a discreet area first to check the colour match.

Does the colour rub off once it is dry?

No. Once buffed and fully dry, the beeswax-based formula sets into the leather and will not rub off on clothing or wash off with normal use, which is exactly what makes it so different from a quick cover-up product.
