Description

Dasco Waxed & Oiled Leathers Spray 200ml – easy waterproofing and care for rugged boots

Some leather is made for the outdoors – the tough, waxy, oiled finishes you find on walking boots, country boots and hard-wearing work footwear. It shrugs off a lot, but it still needs its waxes and oils topped up to stay water-resistant and supple. This Dasco Waxed & Oiled Leathers Spray makes that job wonderfully quick: just spray it on and let it care for and protect the leather, no rubbing in required.

It is specially formulated to refresh, feed and protect wax-oiled and natural leather finishes, and it works beautifully on both wax smooth leather and wax nubuck – footwear and clothing alike. The spray format gets even coverage into seams and textured surfaces where a cream can be tricky, restoring water repellency and reviving that lovely deep, weathered look. For anyone who spends time on muddy trails, it is a real time-saver.

The aerosol makes light work of a whole pair in seconds, which is exactly what you want when there are muddy boots to sort before the next outing – no rubbing, no fuss, and no waiting around on a busy morning.

Why choose Dasco Waxed & Oiled Leathers Spray?

  • Quick and even to apply. The spray reaches seams, welts and textured leather that creams struggle with, for thorough, fuss-free coverage.
  • Restores water repellency. It tops up the natural waxes and oils so your boots keep the rain and puddles at bay.
  • Feeds and revives the leather. Regular treatment keeps waxed and oiled leather supple and prevents it drying and cracking.
  • Works on smooth and nubuck wax finishes. One spray suits wax smooth leather and wax nubuck, on both footwear and clothing.
  • Ideal for the great outdoors. Perfect for walking boots, work boots and country wear that take a real hammering from the British weather.

How to use Dasco Waxed & Oiled Leathers Spray

  1. Remove mud and loose dirt and let the leather dry.
  2. Shake the can well.
  3. Hold around 20cm away and spray an even coat over the whole surface.
  4. Leave to absorb and dry naturally.
  5. Apply a second coat for extra protection before heavy or wet use.

Haico’s tip: re-treat your boots at the start of every walking season and again mid-way through. A little routine care keeps them waterproof year after year instead of letting them slowly dry out.

Frequently asked questions

Spray or cream – which should I choose?
The spray is faster and better at reaching seams and textured surfaces, while a cream gives more targeted, hands-on conditioning. Many people use the spray for regular upkeep and a cream for a deeper treatment.

Will it darken my boots?
Waxed and oiled leather can darken a little when freshly treated; this usually settles as it dries. Test a hidden area first if you are unsure.

Can I use it on ordinary smooth leather shoes?
It is formulated for waxed and oiled finishes. For everyday smooth leather, a standard polish or lotion is more suitable.

How long does the waterproofing last?
It depends on how hard you wear your boots and the conditions, but for regular walkers a re-treat every few weeks keeps the water repellency nicely topped up.

Where can I buy Dasco Waxed & Oiled Leathers Spray in the UK?
You can order it directly from Shoespecialist.co.uk. We offer free delivery on orders over £50, same-day dispatch when you order before 5pm, and a 60-day return policy.
